FAQS

Is my report anonymous?

Yes. Angel Alert does not ask for your name when submitting a report. Please avoid including personal information about yourself or others in your submission.

How long does it take for my report to appear?

Reports are processed automatically. Most appear on the map within a few minutes after the location has been geocoded. If you do not see your report immediately, please wait a few minutes and refresh the page.

Why doesn’t my report appear immediately?

Every report must be processed so it can be placed on the map. Depending on system activity, there may be a short delay before it becomes visible.

Can I edit or remove a report after submitting it?

If you need to correct or remove a report, please contact Angel Alert. Include as much information as possible so we can locate the submission.

Are reports verified?

No. Reports are submitted by members of the community and are not independently verified. They are intended to promote community awareness and should not be considered official records.

What kinds of reports belong on Angel Alert?

Angel Alert is intended for community observations related to public safety and community awareness, including police presence, vehicle stops, on-foot patrols, arrests or detainments, harassment, loitering enforcement, and other relevant public observations.

Can I submit more than one report?

Yes. Each observation should be submitted separately so that locations and dates remain accurate.

How accurate are the map locations?

Locations are generated from the place information entered in each report. They are intended to provide a general geographic reference and may not represent the exact location of an event.

What if I believe a report is inaccurate?

Please contact Angel Alert with the details. We appreciate community feedback and will review reports that may require correction or removal.

Is Angel Alert affiliated with a government agency or law enforcement?

No. Angel Alert is an independent community awareness project created to help neighbors share observations and better understand activity occurring in their communities.

What should I do if there is an emergency?

Angel Alert is not an emergency service. If you are experiencing or witnessing an emergency, call 911 or your local emergency services immediately.
