Community Reporting Guidelines

Thank you for helping build a safer, more informed community.

Angel Alert exists to help people share observations that may increase awareness, identify patterns, and encourage neighbors to look out for one another. Every report contributes to a broader picture of what is happening in our communities.

What to Report

Please report events or situations that you personally witnessed or reasonably observed, such as:

  • Police presence
  • Vehicle stops
  • On-foot patrols
  • Loitering enforcement
  • Arrests or detainments
  • Harassment
  • Other public safety concerns relevant to the community

Report What You Observed

Please describe what you saw rather than what you believe someone’s intentions were.

For example:

Instead of:

Police were targeting people.

Consider:

Four officers stopped several individuals near the transit station for approximately twenty minutes.

Objective observations help make the information more useful for everyone.

Protect Privacy

Please do not include:

  • Names of private individuals
  • Personal addresses unless essential to describe a public event
  • Phone numbers or email addresses
  • Medical information
  • Immigration status
  • Information that could identify or endanger another community member

Be Respectful

Angel Alert welcomes reports from all members of the community.

We ask that submissions not include:

  • Hate speech
  • Threats
  • Personal attacks
  • Harassment directed at individuals
  • Knowingly false information
  • Spam or duplicate submissions

Community-Submitted Information

Reports published on Angel Alert are submitted by members of the community and are not independently verified.

The purpose of this project is to increase awareness, identify patterns, and support informed community engagement—not to provide official records or legal conclusions.

Corrections or Concerns

If you believe a report contains inaccurate information or should be reviewed, please contact Angel Alert. We welcome corrections and are committed to maintaining a respectful and responsible community resource.
